Key Features of the 2027 Honda HR-V
Real Time AWD™
Available Real Time AWD™ with Intelligent Control System™ is one of the most important options for drivers who want extra confidence in changing road conditions. This system uses an array of sensors to help determine when torque should be sent to the rear wheels, giving the HR-V added traction support when the surface beneath the tires becomes less predictable. For local driving, that can be helpful when navigating wet pavement, uneven side streets, steep driveways, or rougher roads outside the city. Honda also equips the HR-V with Snow mode, which helps reduce wheel slippage by setting the automatic transmission to start in second gear and reducing pedal sensitivity. Hill descent control adds another layer of reassurance by helping manage speed on steep downhill grades, allowing the driver to focus more on steering and the road ahead. Combined with the HR-V’s responsive 158-hp, 2.0-liter engine and well-tuned suspension, available Real Time AWD™ helps make this subcompact SUV feel capable, composed, and ready for daily life.
Honda Sensing®
Every 2027 Honda HR-V comes equipped with Honda Sensing®, a suite of safety and driver-assistive technologies designed to assist and help protect occupants. The Collision Mitigation Braking System™ (CMBS™) can alert and assist when there is a risk of collision with a detected vehicle or pedestrian ahead, and it can automatically apply brake pressure when the system determines a collision is unavoidable. Road Departure Mitigation System (RDM) is designed to help keep the vehicle on the road if it detects that the HR-V is crossing lane lines without signaling. Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) w/Low-Speed Follow can adjust to the speed of a detected vehicle ahead and can bring the Honda to a stop in certain traffic conditions. Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS) w/Traffic Jam Assist can help keep the vehicle centered in a detected lane while the driver’s hands remain on the wheel. Traffic Sign Recognition System (TSR) can display recognized sign information on the TFT Meter, helping drivers stay informed.
9-Inch Color Touchscreen
The standard high-definition 9-inch Color Touchscreen gives the HR-V a modern and convenient technology hub. It is designed to make frequently used apps easy to access, and the physical volume knob provides quick audio control without requiring extra menu navigation. Standard wireless Apple CarPlay® compatibility lets iPhone® users access maps, music, messages, and other supported apps through the touchscreen without connecting a cable. Standard wireless Android Auto™ compatibility does the same for compatible Android™ phones, offering hands-free access to directions, texts, and entertainment. Honda notes that Android Auto is now enhanced with Google Gemini, adding another layer of helpful connectivity. A standard wireless phone charger helps reduce cord clutter and gives compatible phones a convenient charging area. On select configurations, an 8-speaker, 180-watt audio system delivers clear sound for podcasts, playlists, and calls. Together, these technologies make the HR-V feel easy to live with from the first drive.
60/40 Split 2nd-Row Seats
The HR-V’s 60/40 split 2nd-row seats are central to its day-to-day flexibility. With the rear seats in place, the HR-V provides 24.4 cubic feet of cargo space, enough for groceries, luggage, gym bags, small furniture, plants, or everyday work gear. When more room is needed, the 2nd-row seats can be folded to create a larger cargo area for bulkier items. Folding just one side can make space for longer cargo while still leaving room for a rear passenger, while folding both sides opens up the cabin for larger loads such as golf clubs, home improvement supplies, or the perfect antique find. The cabin also includes plentiful storage compartments and seating for up to five people, making it easy to adapt the HR-V to changing needs throughout the week. Available accessories such as a cargo tray, cargo cover, seatback protectors, and all-season floor mats help preserve the interior and add practical protection.
Body-Stabilizing Front Seats
Comfort matters in a vehicle that may be used for commuting, errands, rides with friends, and longer road trips, and the HR-V takes cabin support seriously. Body-stabilizing front seats feature uniquely engineered lumbar and side supports that help minimize fatigue over longer drives. The available leather-trimmed version of the driver’s seat is power adjustable in eight different ways, allowing the driver to fine-tune position and support. Select trims add premium details such as leather-trimmed seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, Footwell Ambient Lighting, and a one-touch power moonroof. Heated front seats are standard on Sport and EX-L, while dual-zone automatic climate control is standard on EX-L, allowing the driver and front passenger to set separate temperatures. The dashboard’s honeycomb detailing gives the cabin a clean, upscale visual anchor, and ergonomic steering-wheel controls make it easy to manage the 7-inch TFT Meter, audio volume, and cruise settings while keeping hands on the wheel.
